Embrace fear – why in 2013 marketing have to embrace fear and do it anyway!

Is there a rising tide of risk aversion among Australia’s marketing community? Explore why a culture of fear may have developed among Australian marketers and start the dialogue about the need for brave marketing to encourage new thinking in such an exciting and dynamic era of omni-channel opportunity.

Hear from a panel of experts, led by Tim Burrows, on how to foster an open and fearless culture within marketing and sell brave creative work.

Tim Burrows is a former Editor of of B&T Magazine and is now Editor-in-Chief at mUmBRELLA (winner of Australia website of the year 2011), which covers everything under Australia's media and marketing umbrella with its sister Encore magazine for those in media, entertainment and the business of storytelling. 

Tim will be heading our expert panel, which will comprise:

  • Michael Logos, Managing Director, Crust Gourmet Group. Michael is the dynamic Managing Director of Crust Gourmet Pizza and part of the duo who have developed a very successful franchise gourmet pizza business.
  • Richard Overall, Creative Director, Freeform Creative Agency. Richard has more than 20 years of experience over several continents in categories such as automotive, financial, FMCG, fashion and alcohol.
  • Chris Stephenson, National Strategy Director, PHD Media Australia. Chris works across clients including ANZ, HP, Ferrero, Google, PepsiCo, Channel 9, Ebay and Air New Zealand.
  • Cameron MacFarlane, GM Marketing, Coles Liquor. Formerly in marketing with Fosters and Heinz, Cameron was appointed by Coles Liquor to breathe new life into Coles' retail outlets Liquorland, First Choice Liquor and Vintage Cellars.
  • Laura Chisholm, Director, Chisholm & Harper. Laura is a Senior Digital Strategist and was previously a Director at Deloittes. It is her mission to help clients navigate the ever-changing technology landscape in order to create truly modern businesses.
